Cooperation between public administration and social enterprises – a myth or a real chance?

How to convince the public administration, especially at the local level to support the development of social economy? What arguments can be used to show benefits of the development of social economy? What kind of support is really needed for social enterprises? What you have to remember launching a new social business?

These are just a few questions, for which answer was looking for partners in the project “Development of social economy in the Baltic Sea Region” during preparations of “The Recommendations for Public Administration in supporting the development of social enterprises” and “Recommendations for the new social enterprises in the creation of development path”, which we would like to present below.

Work on the recommendations was conducted in 6 countries from Baltic Sea Region: Poland, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Latvia and Lithuania and was preceded by a deep research: survey among representatives of the social economy entities, focus interviews with experts and in-depth analysis of national and European strategic documents in the topic of social economy development. In the presented publication you can find a brief analysis of the situation of social enterprises

We hope that this publication will be interesting to readers, will be an inspiration and a source of useful knowledge.
